Sign-up-for-the-National-Geographic-Channel-Young-Explorer-Programme-2014-News-Featured-ImageThe National Geographic Channel Young Explorer Programme is back for a second edition!

This year’s theme is “Experience, Encounter & Embrace – Nature”, and it will bring participating primary school students aged 7 to 10 years old on a multitude of nature trails and seminars organised by local partners.

It is great to see that these young minds get a chance to truly get out of the classroom and into the flora and fauna of Singapore with 5 exciting workshops to choose from.

While exploring the rainforests of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and reliving the old Kampung days are awesome, the main draw of this education initiative is definitely the chance to go on an expedition in Borneo with NGC’s very own, Casey Anderson!

That’s right. If your child has that adventurer within him/her, then this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Only 10 young explorers will be selected for this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and your child can be one of them simply by visiting the NGC Young Explorer website and registering your interest and signing up for 2 of the 5 workshops.

More information regarding the selection process can be found here.

Its amazing to see National Geographic Channel Singapore doing more in the local scene. I look forward to the other events they have in store, such as the Free Pet Shop initiative they held on 2012 and 2013.
